Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Senneh Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Senneh wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrashed and variegated palette of wheat, rose, powder blue, sepia, sky blue, sage, and mauve. The wheat hued field features an all-over herati pattern, enclosed with boteh filled notches, and ornately designed spandrels. The spandrels feature a floral theme in layers of rose, sky blue, and wheat. Framing the field is a unique main border of split leaves and floral motifs, along with a pair of carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
