Item Details

An antique Concord gingerbread style mantel clock by the Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., of Winsted, Connecticut. The eight day clock features a gingerbread style case decorated with grapevine motifs. The glass door has been embellished with designs reverse painted in gold paint. The clock stands on a carved base with beveled feet. The face has black Roman numerals with filigree hands and two key arbors. Inscribed on the back by hand is ‘January 26, 1898/H.E.Paul’. There is also a label, ‘Concord./Manufactued By/Wm.L. Gilbert Clock Co.,/Winsted, Conn, U.S.A.’. The clock comes with a key.
