Antique Cherry Corner Cabinet
Item Details
An impressive mid 19th century American antique hand-crafted solid cherry corner cabinet fabricated with mortise and tenon joinery. The upper section has a beveled edge crown, two large ‘one plank’ solid cherry cabinet doors with raised stiles and rails. They open to reveal three fixed wood shelves fastened with square nails. The base section has two ‘single plank’ cherry doors, also with raised stiles and rails, which open to reveal one fixed wood shelf. The bottom apron is hand carved with a pretty scroll design. Present antique brass hardware probably not original. Seven Cherry boards are used to construct the angled back, the center board has a crack. The back side of the piece is unfinished. Simplistic, and very functional, timeless piece to grace your home decor. Professional movers recommended. Contents shown are not included.
