Item Details
A hand-knotted Sino-Persian carpet runner. This wool rug features an allover floral pattern incorporating elaborately detailed lancet leaves, palmettes and a variety of flowers over a black field. The palette is black, crimson, rose, emerald, sage and cream. Framing the field are four borders, including a herati main border featuring meandering palmettes, flowers and foliage over cream. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with knotted ivory wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
