19th Century Chauncey Jerome Ogee Mantel Clock
Item Details
A 19th century Chauncey Jerome ogee mantel clock. The clock is circa 1850 and features an elegant design with a mahogany wood case with beveled edges. The clock features a two-tiered glass front door that has a reverse painted design on the lower door with an image of a carriage ride in rich colors of blue, white and green and is surrounded by a white scrollwork design. The clock features a white metal face with black Roman numerals, two brass key arbors and black hands and is accented by blue decorative spandrels. Other features of the clock include metal weights and a brass pendulum, a 30-hour weight driven movement and a plinth style wood base. The clock is marked ‘Chauncey Jerome’ on the interior.
