A sterling silver flatware set by International Silver Co. This is in the Alfred G. Kintz designed Prelude pattern, first introduced in 1939, which features a slight flared handle with floral accents at the tip and shoulders. The thirty-nine piece set includes eight dinner forks, eight salad forks, ten teaspoons, a sugar spoon, a serving spoon, a ladle, a meat fork, and a master butter knife, all marked ‘Sterling’ alongside the maker’s mark to the backs. They are presented with eight dinner knives that have stainless blades and sterling hollow handles. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives with stainless blades, is 40.135 ozt.
