A circa 1980s watercolor painting on paper by Arizona artist Daunis Winkle (20th century), known for her Southwestern American landscape scenes. The piece depicts Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado, rendered in variegated shades of brown, sepia, mauve and yellow. The work is signed in paint to the lower left. It is presented under glass and green matting in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
