A collection of engravings titled The Shipwreck, The Grand Canal Venice, The Death of Nelson, and Venice after original works by celebrated artist J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851). Included in this selection are depictions of Venetian scenes with gondolas floating atop canals and buildings to the distance. Also depicted are maritime scenes with ships sailing through rough ocean currents. This selection is titled and inscribed in-plate to the lower margins. They are matted in off-white and presented behind glass in silver tone wooden frames with a paper backing and metal hanging wire to the versos.
Condition
-discoloration; foxing; debris under glass; surface wear to frames; wear and wrinkling to paper backings.
