An original oil painting on canvas by listed artist Phillip Weber (California/ Pennsylvania/Germany, 1851 – 1921). The painting depicts a bucolic landscape under a cloud-filled sky, as several cows wade in and drink from a small river. It is signed in black to the lower left. The work is housed in an elaborate gold-tone gesso frame with a hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- craquelure to lower left. Light accretion to painting surface. Extensive cracking to gesso finish of frame.
