A 1928 signed, 5th edition of An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy Being an Interpretation of the Secret Teachings Concealed within the Rituals, Allegories and Mysteries of all Ages by Manly P. Hall. Forty-eight colored plates , two are folded, one has transparent-overlay) illustrations are by J. August Knapp. Only 800 copies of the fifth edition have been printed by H. S. Crocker Company, San Francisco, from plans by John Henry Mask. The book is signed by author in ink, ‘Best wishes J, Manly P. Hall’, numbered: 337/800. Half velum with paper overlay on the cover boards. The pages have gilt top edge and the sides are untrimmed. A wood slip case in included with this huge tome.

Condition
Overall in good shape consistent with age. The velum on the spine is cracked and lifting, the paper cover on the boards are torn in some areas along the edge. One photo has become separated from the spine and the two fold plate has been taped.
