Louis XV Style Kingwood Parquetry Bombé Commode

Item Details

A Louis XV bombé commode, veneered with spectacular Kingwood parquetry, mid 20th century; most likely Egyptian-made. With an off white marble panel top commode overhangs a shaped case with applied brass acanthus leaf detail to the stiles, side panels, drawer facades, and feet. This piece features two full width, stacked drawers with decorative handles. This piece terminates on splayed feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.

- minor discoloration to marble top; minor nicks and scratches throughout; some dust present.
