Antique Italian Carved Walnut Corner Chair

A circa 1870s Italian carved walnut corner chair. The chair has a continuous, upholstered red velvet back and arm rail, terminating into carved ram’s heads. There are three carved and scrolled back supports, and the front rails are embellished with carved shells. The seat is padded and upholstered in red velvet with brass nailhead trim and the chair rests on four carved cloven hoof feet. No maker’s mark.
