A late 19th century Russel & Jones The Belle wall clock with a Seth Thomas face. The clock is a parlor style wall clock with a mahogany finish on select hardwood and a gingerbread design. The clock features a curved bonnet with orb accents and decorative carved wood side panels with a glass front door that displays a reverse painted gilded still life design. Other features of the clock include a white metal Seth Thomas face with black Roman numerals and hands, two brass key arbors and the face is surrounded by a brass bezel. The clock has a brass pendulum, an 8-day time and strike movement and a decoratively carved wood skirt with a hook for hanging on the verso. The clock case is labeled ‘Russel & Johnson’ on the verso and the face is labeled ‘Seth Thomas’.
