A vintage porcelain ware bowl with molded wood stand. This porcelain piece features a square-shaped body painted in a floral and foliate motif throughout with a single cricket to the well in tones of orange and burnt sienna with gilt trim. Included is a carved wood stand. The bowl is marked in red to the bottom, ‘Y.Y. Japanese Porcelain-Ware Decorated in Hong Kong’.
Condition
- wood stand features scratching, denting, wear to finish, and a significant chip, approximate;y 0.75" W, to one corner with smaller chips to the edge.
- some wear, scratching, marks, and residue to the bowl; consistent with age and use.
