Dr. Lyman Hall Document Signed January 5, 1784

A document signed by American Revolutionary Patriot Dr. Lyman Hall of Georgia. Hall was a preacher and physician in Georgia when he was admitted to the Second Continental Congress in 1775; a year later, he became one of three Georgians to sign the Declaration of Independence. He later served as Governor of Georgia from January 8, 1783 until January 9, 1784 and, six days after his term ended, he completed this document awarding a bounty of 400 acres of Georgia land to the heirs of a Georgia resident, with his signature at the bottom. The document is presented against a black mat in a black wooden frame with a gold-toned border, and a wire hanger to the verso. January 5, 1784. DS 1 page, 8vo. The piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
