An exceptional war-date autograph letter signed by Benjamin Franklin. This piece features three items beneath black matting featuring Benjamin Franklin, including an intaglio print featuring his signature beneath. The handwritten letter signed by Founding Father Benjamin Franklin, is dated October 30, 1786 and is calling for a commission with a list of individuals. The letter was written during Franklin’s time as President of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania. Also included is a typed transcript of the handwritten letter. Philadelphia, October 30, 1776. ALS 1 page, sm, oblong 8vo. The piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
