Booker T. Washington Autograph Letter Signed
Item Details
An autograph letter signed by Brooker T. Washington (1856–1915). This letter is presented beneath glass and blue matting, and encompassed by a black and gold tone frame with a sawtooth hanger affixed to its verso. This handwritten letter is presented on Tuskegee Institute stationary and signed by Brooker T. Washington, an African-American leader, founder of the Tuskegee Institute, businessman, and civil rights activist. The letter is dated 1905, and is requesting donations from a past donor. Also attached to the verso is a newspaper clipping featuring Washington with his wife. The piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
