Ottawa Style Birch Bark and Porcupine Quill Box

A 19th or 20th Century Native American style box made using bark from a birch tree. A colorful floral design is worked into the lid using porcupine quills, while a decorative design is sewn around the lip of the box. Included with the box is a typed provenance dating the item and crediting the item as being created by the Ottawa peoples and giving information on other uses of birch bark.
Condition
- to Poor; wear to the edges of the box, some wear and marks to the surface of the box; binding threads are missing and worn, fraying to the lip of the box, one corner is ripped, to the bottom, warping and wear.
