A signed aquatint etching titled The Goddess by listed New York artist Frederic Taubes (1900 -1981). The print depicts two elegantly rendered women, one viewed from behind and the other from the front, with their jaw lines overlapping to create a continuous curved line. The work is signed within the plate to the lower right and is signed in pencil to the lower left margin. It is presented behind a white mat, under glass, in a gold-tone wood frame and is ready to hang with a wire. A label from Associated American Artists indicating the artist’s name, the title and a short artist bio is attached to the verso.

Condition

- light toning to print and mat. Minor wear to frame finish.
