An etching on paper titled Performing Among Roman Ruins by listed Swedish artist Joe A. Pecsenke (1942-1989). This monochromatic intaglio print, printed in red ink, depicts a tightrope walking acrobat performing his craft on a high wire attached to the remains of ancient Roman columns as a motley crew of characters waits below. It is titled in-plate along the lower border of the image. The work is signed in graphite in the lower right margin and hand numbered 50 in an edition of 150 in the lower left. An additional note of ‘Commedia Dell’Arte XI-B’. It is presented loose, unframed.

- light wrinkling; foxing; light wear to edges and corners.
