A limited edition hand-tinted etching on Japon paper titled Judgment from the series Historia de Don Quichotte de la Mancha by Salvador Dalí (1904-1989). This work depicts a figure in a carriage pulled by oxen. Figures site along the side of the road in the barren landscape. This piece is numbered 17 out of an edition of 150 to the lower left. This work is signed to the lower right corner. It is presented behind glass with layered white and brown mats in a finished wood frame. A hanging wire is mounted to the verso, along with a certificate of authenticity from the St. Petersburg Gallery.

Included in the Catalogue Raisonné, “The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali” by Albert Field, on pages 144-45.
Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain to Salvador Dalí y Cusi, a lawyer and notary, and Felipa Domenech Ferres. His mother encouraged his artistic pursuits a eccentricities. In 1922 Dalí enrolled at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. It was during this time that he went to Paris started interacting with Picasso, Magritte, and Miro leading to his first Surrealist phase. Dalí is best known for his surrealist painting, drawing, photography, and sculptures. His works are housed in many private collections and museums across the globe.
