Louis XV-Style Mahogany and Ormolu Vanity

A Louis XV-style mahogany and ormolu vanity. The vanity features a framed mirror with an ornate, scrolled frame accented with a metallic gold painted finish. The vanity top has two small stands with single drawers to either side of the mirror, and the edges of the tabletop are scrolled and accented with metallic gold painted trim. The surface of the table is inlaid with rays of contrasting light and dark woods, and it comes with a clear, tempered glass top. Below is a recessed center drawer, flanked by two protruding side drawers, which are fitted with ornate gold tone metal handles, and the drawer fronts are embellished with metallic gold scrolls and flourishes. The center drawer has an ornate gold tone metal keyhole escutcheon, and the vanity rests on graceful, slightly curved legs with ormolu, including animal paw feet in metallic gold colored metal. No maker’s marks.
