Pastel on paper

A graphite and pastel drawing on paper of abstract figures. This Expressionist style drawing depicts a ghostly rendering of various faces which undulate around one another. This is reinforced by a soft application of pastel in pale green and gray. To the top left corner is a monogrammed artist signature and what appears to be a date, reading ‘6.93’. The drawing is presented under glass beneath matting in a natural wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; top and bottom of frame are slightly warped; backing is slightly loose.
