A color lithograph print titled Origins by listed American artist Charles Frederick Lovato (1937-1987). This color print depicts a surrealistic southwestern American scene featuring a long haired man with a staff emerging from the soil, as well as a large human hand releasing butterflies. A bowl containing two baby birds rests between them. The work is signed in graphite ‘C.F. Lovato’ in the lower margin, and hand numbered IX/X, or 9 in an edition of 10. It is presented under glass, mounted to a white backing with a white mat in a gold tone wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
