A mixed media painting on board titled Racconto Fofolare (Story to Tell) by Italian artist Gianpaolo Berto (1940-2003). This piece depicts a stylized scene of gestural figures in which a central stage is surrounded by men in row boats as a shooting star passes overhead. It is signed and dated ’’91’92’ to the lower right as well as signed and titled to the verso. The work is presented behind a red mat and glass in a bronze tone wood and gesso frame with leaf and berry molded ornamentation and wire to the verso for hanging.
