Rembrandt Restrike Etching "Christ Before Pilate"
Item Details
A restrike etching on laid paper titled Christ Before Pilate after the original by Rembrandt Van Rijn (1606-1669). This image depicts Jesus Christ being judged by Pontius Pilate in the Roman court. It bears a signature in-plate below the throne of Pilate. It is presented behind glass in a black mat in a black wood frame. Hanging hardware is present to verso as well as a certificate of authenticity.
Condition
- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; minor marks to frame.
