An acrylic painting on paper titled Elimination by American artist James Faust (born 1949). This piece depicts a stylized figure in profile with an X in the center. It is painted with shadows to give the illusion of the X and painted border floating above the figure. It is signed and dated 1984 to the lower right as well as labeled by hand to the verso. There is an artist’s statement affixed to the verso, and the work is presented behind a mat and glass in a cream-colored metal frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
