A pair of Rajput school gouache portraits. The first features an elegant woman wearing an olive green skirt and deep rose top with a translucent veil. The second depicts a kneeling warrior wearing cornflower blue and holding a sheathed sword and shield. Both are surrounded by handwritten inscriptions and have large Jaipur Government seals above. Presented double matted with wood-tone composite frames.

Condition

- to fair; toning, foxing, and creasing to paper; small tear to the upper right corner of painting featuring a seated man; some scratches and dents to frames.
