Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mashad area rug. This rug features an elaborate central eight-pointed medallion in a palette of deep navy, tangerine and light grey highlighted with rich jewel tones on a crimson red field decorated with palmettes and vine-scroll imagery. The major border is accentuated with coinciding palmette and foliate patterns in a complementary palette on a navy background. The rug is signed ‘Ghoparvar’ in the outer border on one end. It is finished with a short natural warp fringe.
