A gouache and watercolor painting on paper by listed American artist Phil Austin (1910-2004) titled Summer Day in Roosevelt Park, Waukegan, Ill. The painting depicts children gathered at either side of a glassy pond, a pair at the edge closest to the viewer leaning over the water with a long fishing rod. This piece features a warm palette of yellow and green and is signed and marked ‘A.W.S.’ to its lower right. It is double-matted under glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire and a studio label noting the title to its verso.

Condition

- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light wear to frame finish.
