A set of three mid-century oil paintings on canvas, each by listed artist Jacobus Lambertus Dispo, Sr. (Dutch, 1890 – 1964). The works depict peaceful canal scenes under blue skies, set against backdrops of historic Amsterdam bridges and architecture. Each is signed in black paint to the lower right. The paintings are presented without glass in wooden frames with gold tone finish and moulded gesso embellishments, each fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; minor discoloration present to all paintings; puncture mark with surrounding scratch and media loss to center of vertically oriented work; scratches, chips, cracks and edge wear to gesso frames; some corner joints do not meet evenly; tears to backing paper; dust and accretion present.
