Vintage German Beer Steins, Including Merkelbach & Wick

A collection of three early-20th century German beer steins, including an Art Nouveau style stein with silver tone metal lid and thumb rest featuring a cream, mint, beige, turquoise and brown design to the body. It is emboss marked ‘Hopfen Geibt Tropfen’ which translates loosely to ‘Hops Gives Drops’ around the top and emboss marked ‘Gesetzl Geschutzt 1778 14’ to the underside. The collection also includes a stein with silver tone metal lid and thumb rest featuring an embossed floral design to the body with cartouche to the front emboss marked ‘Froh Erwache Jeden Morgen Trink Dein Schöppchen Ohne Sorgen’ which translates loosely to ‘Wake Up Happy Every Morning, Drink Your Jug Without Worries’, it is emboss marked with the Merkelbach & Wick mark to the underside. Merkelbach & Wick produced steins from 1872 until 1921. They are presented with a 0.5L stein featuring a silver tone metal lid and thumb rest and a tavern design with figures to the body. It is emboss marked ‘Germany 1291’ to the underside.
