A late 19th-century hand colored lithograph on paper titled Offizier und Musketier der Französischen Garde. The piece depicts the military uniforms of French soldiers circa 1690, embellished with hues of muted red, brown, blue and yellow. The print is titled in plate to the lower center and inscribed in plate to the lower left, appearing to read ‘Wittig’. It is presented under glass in a carved wooden frame.

Condition

- toning, discoloration and foxing to print; edge wear and fraying to paper; scratches, edge wear and chips to frame; dust and accretion present; corner joints do not meet evenly.
