Framed Porcelain Miniature Portrait "Ruth" By KPM Master Painter Wagner

An antique hand painted porcelain plaque depicting Ruth from the Old Testament. The small framed plaque is signed by Wagner, one of the leading painters with Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur in Berlin. The reverse is marked Ruth N. (indistinct) In Berlin, and has the number 22 impressed in the porcelain. A small tag stamp is inserted between the plaque and frame back, which is marked 5384 Ruth 6.CO. The plaque measures approximately 2.00’ by 3.50’. The ornamental frame is copper and has an easel back as well as a ring for hanging on the wall.
