A hand-knotted Berber Boucherouite area rug. This shaggy, Moroccan tribal rug is made from repurposed strips of fabric. It features a pattern of diagonal stripes, consisting of small rectangles in a wide ranging palette, including gradations of blues, red, brown, peach, cream, and black. Most of the fabric used is monochromatic, but some is patterned. Fabric composition and textures are varied. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at one end with variegated warp fringe, while the other end has no fringe. Unlabeled.
