Item Details
A machine made caucasian-style area rug. This rug has a densely populated field with large rectilinear medallions and geometric pendants. These design elements include diamond shapes, star forms, lobed flowers, palmettes, double crosses and hooked devices. It is worked in azure, indigo and red over a variegated crimson field. Framing the rug are running dog, floral chains, barber pole, carnation meander and a main border with stylized boteh, animal pendants and floral devices. Selvedges are over-stitched at all sides, finishing with bound fabric to the underside. Unlabeled.
