A selection of oil landscape paintings on canvas board, two of which are signed by artist Millicent Greenwell Clapp. The Caramel Highlands, rendered primarily in a palette of green and blue hues, depicts an expansive landscape with rolling hills. It is signed and dated ‘41’ by hand to the lower right corner. St. Croix depicts a coastal landscape with vibrant ocean waters. Also included is a painting depicting a seascape with waves splashing against large, jagged rocks. Two of the paintings are inscribed by hand to the verso with the artist’s name, medium, and title. One of the paintings appears to be unmarked. This selection is presented in wooden frames.

Condition

- dust and accretions to compositions and frames; boards are slightly warped; scratches and dents to frame.

- largest frame measures; image measures 10" W x 7.75" H; smallest frame measures 10.5" W x 9" H; image measures 8.5" W x 6.5" H.
