A pair of oil paintings on canvasboard by Boston-based American artist Maud Millicent Clapp (1913 – 2001). These two paintings depict vibrant impressionistic Jamaican landscapes and stylized figures. These works are rendered with expressive brushstrokes and vibrant hues of color. The paintings are signed ‘Mili’ to the lower right corner of the picture plane. These pieces are presented in composite wooden frames with wire hangers to their versos.
