An acrylic painting on canvas by listed Russian artist Boris B. Major (1876-1951). The work features an outdoor scene depicting a courtyard with woman in white cloaks and headscarves; a line of trees is visible over the top of a light-walled building. The piece is signed ‘B. Major’ to its lower left and is mounted in a gilt frame with a hanging wire and a label noting the artist’s name to its verso.

- fair;toning on painting; chips along bottom portions of frame on left and right sides; surface abrasions throughout frame; toning on backing paper; punctures in backing paper.
