A vintage hand tinted photographic print on paper titled The Ancestral Cradle by American artist and minister Wallace Nutting (1861–1941). This photographic piece depicts a domestic interior scene featuring a young girl and who appears to be her mother dressed in early 20th century formal attire sitting in chairs while eating. It is signed by hand beneath the image to the lower right and titled to the lower left. This piece is presented under in a wooden frame, under glass, with a wire hanger to the verso. A tag to the frame backing appears to date it to 1915.

- some toning, foxing, and water stains to paper and photo; chipping and scratches to frame; dust and accretions to glass and frame; billowing to photo.
