Antique C.G. Schierholz Porcelain Compote

Item Details

An antique C.G. Schierholz porcelain compote. The piece features a reticulated bowl to the top with a cutout fence pattern adorned with applied porcelain roses and branches. The bowl rests on a pedestal featuring applied cherub figures including one playing a tambourine and one playing a lute. The compote has hand painted accents with gold tone painted details. It is marked with double crossed blue lines to the underside indicating the piece was made c. 1865-1911.
