A flat-plane carved wooden sculpture with painted accents, created in 1930 by Leksand. The piece depicts a woman in traditional early 20th century Swedish attire seated on a bench as a young girl sits on her lap. Both figures are depicted in bonnets and long dresses with hand-painted embellishments. The item is marked ‘Jobs PJS Leksand 1930’ in black ink to the underside.

Condition

- much of the paint has worn away; nicks, abrasions, scratches and surface wear throughout, particularly to lower sections.
