An 1885 publication of Our Living World Illustrated by J.G. Wood in three volumes. The books were published in 1885 by Selmar Hess. Each features an ornate gilt embossed design to the cover with gilt embossed lettering and raised borders to the spine. The collection includes Mammalia, Vol. 1; Birds, Vol. II; and Fishes, Reptiles &c., Vol. III. Each of these Artistic Edition volumes features both black and white and full-color illustrations. They were written by Wood and revised and adapted to American standards by Joseph B. Holder.
