Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Mehriban Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mehriban wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of carnation, sky blue, indigo, mocha, cranberry, ivory, rose, and pale yellow. The deep carnation colored field begins with a central floral medallion symmetrically flanked with palmettes, curled leaves, rosettes, and flowering branches. Framing the field is a mocha grounded main border of a stylized herati pattern, along with a pair of meandering ribbon guard borders, and sawtooth minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label that reads ‘Made in Iran’.
