1949 Rookwood Cylinder Vase

A 1949 Rookwood cylinder vase decorated by Loretta Holtkamp. Featured is a vintage ceramic vase with a rolled rim, small circular mouth, and an elongated cylindrical body. The exterior is embellished with glossy cream colored crazing, and a brown and cornflower blue drip glaze drizzled from the mouth to mid body. The company symbol, the date “XLIX” (1949), and the mold number “6644E” are impressed to the underside, with the decorator’s ‘LH’ in black underglaze.

Condition

- crazing throughout, slight wear to the verso.
