A sterling silver and gold wash pendant set with Spanish Colonial (Lima, Peru) Philip II ‘shield type’ silver cob, minted 1577-1588. Obverse: Crowned arms with ‘I-P’ right and ‘o-D’ (assayer Diego de la Torre) left. Reverse: Quartered lions and castles. Weight: 7.9 grams (in setting). Diameter: 25mm (in setting). The pendant features a ‘rope and anchor wrap’ design.
