Dated 1943 M1 Bayonet for Garand Rifle with Scabbard

A dated 1943 M1 bayonet. This model of bayonet was distributed to American soldiers during World War II for use with their M1 Garand rifle, and this piece was created by United Fork and Hoe of Columbus, Ohio, in their first year of production. This steel bayonet features a ridged plastic grip with a ten-inch fullered blade marked ‘U.F.H., U.S., 1943’ with a symbol representing an ordnance bomb to the ricasso. It is accompanied by its original hard plastic scabbard with a metal throat and hanger, etched with the U.S. ordnance bomb logo.

Condition

- some tarnish to blade with rust mostly at tip; some wear overall.
