Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of cherry, navy, coral-pink, mustard, powder blue, pale gray, and cream. It features a stepped, scalloped diamond shaped center medallion on a field patterned with lancet leaves, palmettes, and curling vines. It has floral meander minor borders and a main border with a herati pattern. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Marked to verso.
