A lithographic poster designed by writer and printmaker David Lance Goines (b. 1945) titled Chez Panisse 28th. This poster, made for the Berkeley, California restaurant’s twenty-eighth ‘birthday’ in 1999, depicts a yellow bird swooping in toward the dark fruit of a cherry tree, the titular text set in capital lettering toward the center of the composition. This poster features the artist’s signature in plate to its lower left and has a statement from and contact information for the restaurant to its lower right. It is presented under glass in a metal poster frame with a wire for hanging to its verso.
