Antique Hand-Knotted Baluch Wool Area Rug
Item Details
An antique Baluch area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of mocha, peach, navy blue and olive, with occasional highlights in cream. It features alternating, diagonal stripes consisting of double hooks in olive outlined in navy and in peach, over a mocha field. The field is framed by compound borders, including reciprocal running dog patterns and geometric rosettes. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at each end with ivory wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
